One of the fastest growing Energy Suppliers in the UK is looking to recruit a passionate Business Development Manager for the Midlands & London area.  

United Gas & Power, based in Leeds, has a vision of becoming the UK's most trusted energy supplier to the commercial market. We are fully focused on business customers and aim to provide first class customer service alongside the most competitive rates in the industry. Our aim to take away the strain of energy bills, so customers can concentrate on running their business whilst we take care of everything else.

We are looking to find a driven & ambitious group of people for a September start in our bespoke training programme. 

About the role

  • 12 weeks of training in a full workshop environment to learn the best sales techniques, as well as industry knowledge.
  • You will develop your own skills to become a New Business Energy Specialist after the 12 weeks of training.
  • Building your own pipeline of customers to generate new business for the company and revenue for yourself.

Key tasks

  • Partake in all workshops, therefore being present in all sessions.
  • Passing all units to build a portfolio of skills.
  • Calling businesses, introducing yourself and UGP, whilst maintaining regular attendance to workshops designed to develop your skills before becoming a closer on the sales floor.
  • Taking a client through the customer journey in order to contract them and supply their site.

Key results and objectives

  • To drive new business through calling businesses across the UK, building rapport and relationships with stakeholders.
  • To generate as much revenue as possible for the business.
  • Inputting a consistent amount of call time, resulting in a higher rate of success.
  • Developing your skill set to become a New Business Energy Specialist, offering customers the best sales experience.
