One of the fastest growing Energy Suppliers in the UK is looking to recruit a passionate Partner Relationship Manager for the Midlands & London area.  

United Gas & Power, based in Leeds, has a vision of becoming the UK's most trusted energy supplier to the commercial market. Our aim to take away the strain of energy bills, so customers can concentrate on running their business whilst we take care of everything else.

Operating within a highly competitive SME sector, the focus of the role is to increase customer and site numbers to United Gas & Power. To ensure value is generated by identifying and managing new and existing TPI partnerships. Reporting to the Head of Sales and working within a team based in Leeds to effectively drive sales via agreed sales strategies.  The successful candidate will have proven experience of business development within a B2B environment.

A creative and driven approach to business is required to develop an efficient relationship model that will successfully achieve the financial / site numbers required.  You will need to be fast thinking, with a strategic view and can identify new opportunities in the current TPI market.

This role will have a Midlands to London scope but with focus to be agreed.  Therefore, the candidate must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities to Include

  • Develop and manage new and existing TPI partnerships to drive new business and existing growth of sites and future contract value.
  • Develop several TPI's to a strategic level where there is a long term mutually beneficial relationship with significant value.
  • Devise and implement ongoing retention and acquisition strategies.
  • Proactively develop and improve propositions (both products and services) in conjunction with the TPI, to increase the number of potential customers to UGP.
  • Work closely with office based TPI Account Managers and other areas of the business to ensure that all requirements of the relationships (both live and at prospect stage) are maintained and maximised, dealing with any issues that occur.
  • Monitor and report on competitor/TPI activity on a regular basis
  • To achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets and Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage your daily, weekly and monthly sales relationship plans and provide detailed weekly and Monthly MI
  • To ensure that all contractual paperwork in relation to new & existing TPI partnerships is completed in a timely manner and stored/maintained and managed within set authority levels.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 2 Years’ experience of new business development in a B2B environment
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Excellent Relationship Building skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills and experience
  • Proven ability to manage long term relationships
  • Numerate and Accurate
  • Understanding of the Gas & Power SME Markets is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working within a TPI framework is desirable but not essential
