Account Manager - B2B Energy Sector

HOURS: Monday – Friday 08:45 – 17:00

LOCATION: United Gas & Power – 16 Otley Road, Guiseley, LS20 8AH (10 minute train from Leeds City Centre – station is a 30 second walk from the UGP office)

We are a market leading energy supplier that provides Business Energy (Electricity & Gas).

The company is currently looking to recruit an internal office-based sales professional to join the team based in Guiseley. This role requires a person who is driven, ambitious with a hunger to learn, earn and progress! Having grown from 3 to almost 60 employees in just 6 years, this is perfect timing to get on-board with an established, yet rapidly growing business… we’re essentially hiring our future leaders! As a dynamic and fast-moving business, the company need an extremely strong sales team to strengthen the ability to grow and therefore offer an attractive basic salary and (UNCAPPED) earning potential. You’ll be working in a superb office space, which includes SEGA Rally Arcade games, Table Football, Pac Man and many more. We have a thriving culture and a social team to help you get through the difficult days.

Direct sales team are responsible for making outbound cold calls to businesses prospecting, data collecting (pipeline building) and generating new sales leads to drive revenue.

The Role

  • Make outbound calls to potential clients, using contact details contained within the internal database.
  • Effectively manage pipeline of prospects.
  • Self-source new leads.
  • Canvass new customers from internal prospect database.
  • Ensure all client information is updated on internal customer management system.
  • To keep updated on product developments.
  • Participate in any training and take personal responsibility for own development.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Use skills and knowledge of the company and its competitors to consistently identify opportunities to maximise sales potential.
  • Ensure that all calls and emails are handled with empathy, enthusiasm, confidence and accuracy. Demonstrate a commitment to be helpful on each interaction and follow through on promises.
  • Deal with the end to end sales process hitting sales targets selling to commercial energy customers covering both the SME and Industrial and Commercial sector.
