Key Account Manager

As one of the fastest growing and highest rated commercial energy suppliers in the UK, we are looking to recruit an experienced Key Account Manager, based at our state-of-the-art offices in Guiseley, Leeds.

The Key Account Manager is a newly created position requiring an experienced individual capable of helping to define and shape the role and “make it their own” within the operational department. The ultimate aim of the role is to ensure that our key clients are delivered a first-class, industry-leading experience with UGP throughout their entire journey with us. You will develop and maintain long-term relationships with our key commercial energy customers that will build engagement, trust and increase customer retention.

  • Manage and build relationships and servicing the needs of our key account customers
  • Regular engagement and communication with key account customers to ensure that their needs or concerns are addressed
  • Work in partnership with internal teams to ensure that client KPI’s and SLA’s are met
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each client and their needs
  • Filter feedback from customers to the appropriate internal teams, to ensure that high levels of service and improvements are delivered
  • Supporting our sales team at key new business meetings where required
  • A ‘hands on’ approach to dealing with customer queries, self-motivating to finding resolutions
  • Create reports for management where requested


  • Ability to manage high workloads and balance priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities
  • Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated team player
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • B2B energy experience desired
  • Educated to a degree level desirable but not essential
