Renewable energy

Greens Decorating Contractors is a family run commercial painting and refurbishment business based in Leeds. Established in 1984, the company now operates across the North of England with more than fifty decorators delivering projects across commercial and public sector sites.

As the business grew, so did the number of energy contracts attached to different premises. What had developed over time no longer felt efficient.

Multiple suppliers and staggered renewals complicated estate oversight

Sites were supplied by different providers, each with separate rates, billing formats and renewal dates. Oversight required repeated checks throughout the year.

Bills arrived at different times. Contracts renewed at different points. Gaining a clear view of total spend took effort.

Energy had become more complicated than it needed to be.

UGP’s full portfolio consolidation aligned contracts, billing and supplier management

UGP reviewed the full estate and consolidated all supplies into one structured agreement. Contract end dates were aligned, and billing schedules were standardised. This meant rates were brought under one clear framework.

A named account manager managed the switch from start to finish, coordinating directly with existing suppliers to keep disruption low.

Greens was also given access to an online portal, providing a central view of usage, invoices and account details across every site.

UGP brought real order to what had become a fragmented setup. Consolidating our sites into one manageable portfolio has saved time and simplified our internal processes. Billing dates are aligned, rates are consistent across sites and the online portal gives us clear visibility. Having a dedicated account manager who understands our estate has made a tangible difference to how we manage energy day to day.

Simplified administration and restored control across every site

Energy is now managed through one supplier with aligned contracts and predictable billing. Oversight is straightforward and renewals no longer require constant monitoring.

Administrative time has reduced and queries are handled quickly through one direct contact. The business now has clearer visibility and stronger control across its portfolio.

Through aligning contracts with UGP, Greens Decorating Contractors gained clarity, efficiency and control across its estate.

Energy is now structured to match the scale and discipline of the wider business.
